Born and raised in Queens, New York, Kimberly Larkin was a very musical child - which came as a surprise to her very "unmusical" family.  She spent her early years not only performing whenever possible but actively creating opportunities to perform. Whether it was both directing and performing in the school play or convincing her sisters and friends to put on Christmas plays at her family's annual holiday party or volunteering to play the piano at a talent show at school before she had even taken a lesson-  if there was an audience (willing or not) they were in for a show.

During her high school years she had contemplated majoring in pre-law in college but in the end she decided to follow her heart and first love to pursue a degree in Music Education at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she studied both piano and voice. While music directing for local community theater productions and at summer camps she soon realized her true passion was musical theatre. More than that, she knew that she wanted to be on the stage rather than behind the piano and so next on her educational path was a masters degree in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Musical Theatre at NYU.

Since then Kimberly has had the great fortune to teach music and theatre to students of all ages across Queens and Long Island while pursuing her performance career as a singer/actress at the same time. There is no better feeling in the world than getting to do what you love every day!
